The little week long rain earlier this month did wonders for the garden plants who gave their all in providing some wonderful color for the long hot summer.

Annuals were grateful for the rain too.

And here’s a cute baby Texas Spiny lizard we found around the potted plants who needed to be moved to protect him from the pond construction crew coming in today. Yes we are finally building a pond. A big one, and it needs a crew. More on that later though. Anyway it seemed a shame we had to move him since I am sure he was helping keep the local insect population down. I moved him into the garden in the back and hopefully he will find it safe and filled with delicious, juicy insects.
