Any snow falling in the water immediately melted.\u00a0 I took these pictures one morning after a brief snow dusting during the night. Thankfully we did not have a cold winter this year.<\/p>\n<p>The tropical waterlilies were still putting out foliage which is just amazing, even though I stopped fertilizing them\u00a0 back in October and moved them to the deepest part of the pond which is about 3 and half feet deep.\u00a0 They can be a bit fussy about temperatures below 50 degrees.\u00a0 Thankfully there is so much volume of water in the pond, which also continually keeps moving that the water temperature has not dipped below 48 degrees so far.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like the fields and gardens have been sprinkled with powdered sugar.<a href=\"http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5230.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1604\" alt=\"DSCN5230\" src=\"http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5230-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5230-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5230-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5230-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5228.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1605\" alt=\"DSCN5228\" src=\"http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5228-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5228-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5228-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/sun-dancing.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/DSCN5228-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>That was back in January, and now the gardens look messy, shrubs are budding out and the beds need a good cleanup and composting.
